Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) + Overtime

PAY: NCP offers a competitive wage to increase with experience. 2nd Shift offers a .75¢ shift differential.

Role Description: NCP Solutions is looking for someone who can perform maintenance on equipment in the production and manufacturing area. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance training for all maintenance personnel on all assigned equipment.
  • This includes but is not limited to: theory of operation, problem analysis and troubleshooting skills; timing and adjustment procedures; parts and subassembly removal and replacement procedures; effective preventive maintenance procedures; administrative procedures and call escalation procedures.
  • Spot-checks and inspects effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines and provides coaching to junior personnel to improve and enhance their skills.
  • Makes written recommendations for PM procedure improvements to Supervisor.
  • Assists Supervisor in inventory management.
  • Makes written recommendations for spare parts stocking levels and adjustments.
  • Frequently checks with manufacturing personnel and supervisors to ensure that difficulties they may be encountering are timely resolved whether involving equipment, stock problems or training.
  • May perform major, complex preventive maintenance procedures on some equipment as assigned.
  • Schedules and completes major corrective and complex preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and recommendations.
  • Ensures unscheduled corrective maintenance requests are responded to and corrected in a timely manner, including personally responding to service requests when other technicians are not available.
  • Continuously checks with and inspects the work of junior personnel, operations and others for advice and recommendations. Ensures all tools, test equipment, parts, supply's, consumable's, reference materials and technical manuals are available for other maintenance personnel prior to their commencing repairs or preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Ensures all work areas around the equipment and within the shop are maintained in a clean, neat and orderly fashion at all times.
  • Maintains and updates all technical manuals and reference materials in a timely fashion.
  • Completes all required personal documentation in accordance with departmental standard.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as directed.
  • Overtime is required. 

Essential Experience:

  • Product Knowledge:
    • Familiar with and trains others on all finishing equipment. Knows and can explain detailed theory of operation and functionality of all finishing equipment.
    • Knows, understands and can explain refurbishment procedures on all finishing equipment.
    • Knows and can explain all electrical and mechanical equipment inspections, checks and adjustments.
    • Familiar with and can identify those parts, consumable's, tools, test equipment and supply's required to properly and effectively diagnose and repair complex equipment.
    • Technical Skills and Knowledge:
    • Knows, understands and can explain all industry standards, company and departmental safety procedures and practices.
    • Knows, understands and is capable of logically analyzing, diagnosing and teaching others, equipment malfunctions.
    • Knows how and teaches others to effectively utilize all shop tools and equipment.
    • Knows how and teaches others proper removal and replacement procedures for all major electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • Knows how and can demonstrate the proper use of soldering equipment, hand tools, digital voltmeters, hand-held power tools, and other related maintenance tools and test equipment.
  • Productivity:
    • Completes all preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled, and in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standard.
    • Performs effective analysis, diagnosis and repair of all routine scheduled and unscheduled equipment malfunctions on all Finishing equipment.
    • Assists with relocations, installations, and de-installations.
    • Obtains and utilizes proper test equipment, tools, parts and supply's as needed to perform scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures.
    • Completes and distributes Work Orders and other required administrative documents.
  • Policy & Procedure Knowledge:
    • Familiar with, understands, and trains others on all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Education:

  • Technical school, trade school or higher learning institute; or equivalent military training (significant experience in electro-mechanical repairs may be substituted for formal education requirements.)
  • Four to five years’ experience performing maintenance on similar equipment.
  • Successful and verifiable in electro-mechanical repairs, may be substituted for formal education requirement
